It is a pure water production technology that combines ion exchange technology, ion exchange membrane technology and ion electromigration technology (electrodialysis technology). The technology utilizes ion exchange energy deep desalination to overcome electrodialysis polarization and desalination is incomplete, and uses electrodialysis polarization to generate water ionization to generate H and OH ions to realize resin self-regeneration to overcome the defects of chemical regeneration after resin failure. It is a new technology that has gradually emerged since the 1980s. After more than ten years of development, EDI technology has occupied a considerable portion of the ultrapure water market.
Only permeation is allowed, cations are not allowed to pass, and cation exchange membranes only allow cations to pass through, and no anions are allowed to pass. The ion exchange resin is sandwiched between the anion exchange membranes to form a single processing unit and constitutes a fresh water chamber. The dc anode and cathode electrodes at both ends of the unit group form an electric field.
The incoming water flows through the fresh water chamber, and the anions and cations in the water are removed by the electric and anion exchange membrane through the anion-cation exchange membrane and enter the concentrated water chamber. The ion exchange resin filled between the ion exchange membranes greatly increases the rate at which ions are removed. At the same time, the water molecules generate hydrogen ions and hydroxide ions under the action of an electric field, and these ions continuously regenerate the ion exchange resin to keep the ion exchange resin in a good state. The EDI unit divides the feed water into three separate streams: pure water, concentrated water, and polar water. 90-95% of pure water is the final water for Zui, and 5-10% of concentrated water can be recycled, and 1% of the water is discharged.
It is generally used in combination with reverse osmosis (RO) to form an ultrapure water treatment system for pretreatment, reverse osmosis, and EDI equipment , replacing the mixed ion exchange equipment of the traditional water treatment process. The EDI device requires a resistivity of 0.025-0.5.
After the reverse osmosis system, the EDI device replaces the traditional mixed ion construction technology to produce stable ultrapure water. Primarily for the pharmaceutical industry, microelectronics industry, electrical industry development, laboratories, clean the surface, surface coating, electrolysis industry and chemical industry.

8. Concentrated water can be used as softened water to improve the utilization of water;
9. The water quality fails to pass the automatic discharge function, and the unqualified water returns to the original water tank .
