New cases of H7N9 in Anhui Province from February 1 to 19
The Anhui Provincial Health and Family Planning Commission announced on February 20 that from February 1 to February 19, 2017, 14 cases of new H7N9 cases were reported in our province and 4 cases died. From December 1, 2016 to February 19, 2017, the province reported 49 cases of H7N9 cases, 3 cases of input and 23 cases of death. The cases were distributed in Hefei, Suzhou, Xuancheng, Wuhu, Anqing, Lu'an, Fuyang, Zhangzhou, Zhangzhou, Ma'anshan, Huangshan, and Tongling.
The provincial party committee and the provincial government attach great importance to the prevention and control of the H7N9 epidemic and require full treatment, joint prevention and joint control, and implementation of measures to curb the epidemic. The Provincial Health and Family Planning Commission has closely deployed the epidemic prevention and control work, strengthened local responsibility, played the role of joint prevention and control work mechanism, and promoted the implementation of source control measures. Various localities have carried out work such as shutting down the live poultry business market, strengthening environmental monitoring and disinfection, quarantine of live poultry infected with poisoned poultry, and regulating and controlling live poultry transportation. At the same time, strengthen epidemic surveillance and risk assessment, implement epidemic situation daily reports, regular special reports, and major event reporting systems to provide early warning.
At present, our province’s H7N9 prevention and control work has achieved initial results. From February 13 to February 19, 2017, only 3 cases of reported H7N9 cases were newly reported in our province. Compared with last week, 7 cases reported a significant decrease.
