Peanut net spot, also known as brown spot disease, cloud spot disease, often occurs in combination with leaf spot disease. It can cause early peanut leaf shedding, which seriously affects peanut yield.
Symptoms: Net spot disease usually occurs at the flowering stage. The onset of the disease is from the pod stage to the mature stage. It mainly damages the leaves. At the beginning, it produces round or irregular dark brown patches along the main vein. There is a halo around the lesion. After that, the edges of the leaves appeared irregular brown spots with a reticular pattern on the front, and small brown spots were visible in the diseased part. When the rain is continuous, the leaf lesions are larger, nearly round, dark brown, and the lesions on the back of the leaves are not obvious, light brown, and the lesions are severely fused; in the dry conditions, the lesions are easily broken and perforated. Once the leaves are infected, they can easily fall off.
The regularity of the onset of illness, which is even cloudy and rainy, is conducive to the occurrence and prevalence of this disease. Sites with high humidity in the fields are prone to onset, and the incidence is heavy in continuous cropping.
Control methods Strengthen field management: increase organic fertilizer and phosphorus, potassium fertilizer, reasonable watering, timely cultivator, improve plant disease resistance, timely removal of diseased bodies after harvest. Chemical control: At the beginning of the disease, 70% mancozeb WP can be used 500 to 600 times or 75% chlorothalonil WP 700 to 800 times or 64% WP can be sprayed 500 times. Spray every 7~10 days, spray 2~3 times.
