Carbohydrates

Carbohydrate feeds mainly contain starch and carbohydrates and may account for less than 70% of the ration mix. Corn is one of the highest energy feeds in cereal feed and can account for 45 to 70% of the mix. Bran tastes good, protein and carbon content, can account for 5% to 30% of the mixture. Barley is high in crude fiber content, and its amount should not be too much, which can account for 15% to 20% of the mixture. The taste of sorghum is more astringent, and too much will make chicken constipation, which can account for about 10% of the mixture. Rice bran is often used as an adjunct and should not exceed 8% of the mix.

Protein feed

Protein feed contains 30 to 65% of protein, which can account for 5 to 30% of the mix. Bean cakes and peanut kernel cakes are good vegetable protein feeds. They have good palatability and nutrition and can account for 10 to 20% of the mixed feed. Due to toxins, the amount of cotton tortilla cake should not be too much, and generally not more than 7% of the mixed feed. Fish meal is the best animal protein and can account for 5 to 15% of the mix. The salt content of fishmeal should be calculated. The content of fishmeal used should not exceed 0.4% of the mixture.

Green feed

The green feed is mainly used to supplement the deficiency of vitamins, and may account for less than 30% of the mixture. The amount of fresh green and green vegetables accounts for 20% to 30% of the mixture, and the green leaves of the genus Acacia, Amorpha, etc. may account for the mixture. ~10%.

Mineral feed

The mineral feed mainly supplements the lack of minerals in the mix and may account for 0.3-9% of the mix. Bone meal is mainly supplemented with calcium and phosphorus, which can account for 1% to 2.5% of the mixture. Shell powder is mainly supplemented with calcium insufficiency, which may account for 1 to 7% of the mixture. Egg-laying hens should be used more often, and other chickens should be used less. Salt mainly supplements the deficiency of sodium in the mixture, and often accounts for 0.3-0.4% of the mixture. The salt content of fishmeal should also be included.

Note: Adding a small amount of gravel when configuring chicken feed, usually after one month of age, can increase feed utilization and can account for 0.5 to 1% of the mix.
