About Brix (%) value
The refractometer measures the refractive index of the solution. The Brix scale actually represents the concentration of the aqueous solution of sucrose sugar. In most solutions, in addition to sucrose, salts, minerals, and proteins may be included. Brix values ​​indicate the total soluble solids content of the solution. For specific samples, such as cutting oils or other industrial products, measurements can be made by establishing a conversion relationship between the Brix value and the actual concentration of the sample.
