Vivid Vision launches VR medical field: $2.2 million in financing

Recently, US startup Vivid Vision completed $2.2 million in financing, invested by investment institutions such as SoftTech VC, The VR Fund, CRCM Ventures, and SOS Ventures.

The company has developed Vivid Vision, a VR software for the treatment of amblyopia, aimed at applying VR technology to the medical field.

James Blaha, CEO of Vivid Vision, is also a patient with amblyopia. He is the first to try VR therapy to test the effectiveness of this therapy. He said that he has basically cured his amblyopia problem and his visual acuity has reached 20/20 normal vision.

In the United States, approximately 90 clinics have used Vivid Vision's VR technology to treat 6,000 patients.
