The author checked out some information and consulted some friends of nursery. He came to the conclusion that he was carrying out the pacification (and he did not do the same thing). How do the seedlings grow? What are the advantages and disadvantages of seedlings? The author is here to give you one by one to analyze and answer.
First, what is called "flat"
The so-called "flat rake" refers to the seedlings (including trees and shrubs) after 2-3 years of growth, all cut from the root neck to the upper branches, so that re-issued straight and thick trunk.
Second, the mechanism of "flat rake" seedlings from the soil absorb a lot of water and nutrients, transported to the branches and leaves. Its leaves produce nutrients through photosynthesis, and in addition to their own consumption, they also send excess nutrients down to the roots to accumulate. During the winter, the nutrients accumulated in the roots reached the maximum amount. Furthermore, the growth points of most plants have the biological characteristics of "apical dominance." After the stimulation of the "flat pod", the first adventitious bud at the upper end of the root and neck, under the supply of a large amount of nutrients accumulated in the root, grows straight and reaches the highest point. Therefore, in the 2 to 3 years after the seedlings are transplanted, the more nutrients accumulated in the roots, the faster and the higher the trunk grows after the “flat”. Since it is "accumulated for several years, one for a long time," the trunk not only grows taller, but also leads to straightness, which exceeds the height and straightness of seedlings cultivated in the same period using conventional methods.
Third, the advantages of "flat ping" After "flat ping" seedlings, not only straight, but also stout. Roots rarely sprouted roots and competed for nutrients. As a result of strong growth and less pest damage, the quality of seedlings has greatly improved.
Fourth, the practice of the "Ping Luan" season shows that the work of "Ping Luan" must be carried out during the dormancy period of seedlings, that is, after the fall of the fallen leaves, to the second year before germination. Prematurely, once the upper part of the adventitious buds germinate, the winter is prone to frost damage; too late, because the nutrients have been transported upwards, the growth potential will be greatly reduced. Therefore, it is best to carry out the work of “flat rake” in December of the same year or January of the following year. However, most of the seedling ploughs are in April or so, and the seedlings are not sold out, and then the ploughs are processed.
Fifth, how to "flat"
"Ping-Lian" should be done with a hand-cut or a special olecranon scissor with a good cut-out. Cut the roots of the seedlings 2 to 3 cm away from the ground, cut them smoothly, and avoid tearing the phloem. It is also necessary to cut and cut the rooted seedlings in the rhizosphere by hand to concentrate the nutrients.

Sixth, "Ping Yi" after the management

After the seedlings are "flattened," they must immediately apply a relatively large amount of fully cooked cake or human waste, as well as some chemical compound fertilizers. Then pour water once. After the watering, the rice seedlings that have been flattened with straw are used to reduce the evaporation of water and play a role in preventing cold. After each half-monthly watering, this not only ensures the water requirement of the flat seedlings, but also allows the fertilizer to “resolve” and be absorbed by the roots.
