The development of Internet medical care makes it easier and faster for people to obtain medical health services. In the case of uneven distribution of medical resources, Internet medical care is considered by some to be an effective way to alleviate the difficulty of seeing a doctor. However, Internet medical care also has various problems and faces many difficulties. This year, Internet medical care entered a cold winter, and many platforms were exposed to layoffs and financing difficulties.
A few days ago, the China Youth Daily Social Investigation Center conducted a survey of 2001 people through a questionnaire network, showing that 65.7% of respondents had medical consultation online. 25.1% of respondents believe that online medical consultation is unreliable and 22.1% of respondents believe it is reliable. Respondents believe that the biggest problem with Internet medical development is the low trust between doctors, patients and platforms (69.3%). 63.1% of respondents have expectations for Internet medical development.
25.1% of respondents believe that online medical consultation is not reliable
Li Kezhao, who works in a private company in Beijing, often searches the Internet for some health knowledge. He is particularly concerned about questions and answers on the medical consultation website. “It’s too much trouble to see a doctor in a big city, and sometimes it’s just a little problem, or it’s about health. You don’t need to run the hospital at all. If you can find some authoritative answers from doctors online, it will save you time and effort.†Li Kezhao said that he found that the questions he had consulted were mostly asked by others on these medical consultation websites, and many of the doctors who answered these questions were also marked, which made him more trust in these answers.
Xiao Meng is an employee of a certain business unit in Qingdao. A few years ago, she registered a medical consultation website for mothers with diabetes when searching for relevant information online. "After registration, I can send a question on the website and wait for the doctor to answer. I can also search for the topical knowledge of various diseases on the website, which is very helpful for me to take good care of my mother." Xiao Meng said that the websites she frequently visit also have functions such as telephone consultation, appointment referral, and drug inquiry.
According to the survey, 65.7% of the respondents had medical consultation online, 59.0% of the respondents had registered for the medical consultation website, or downloaded the medical consultation application.
The hospital is a concentrated place for difficult medical treatment and expensive medical treatment. It also has many medical resources. Some Internet medical companies are vying to work with hospitals to improve patient experience.
Xiao Meng believes that although Internet medical treatment is more convenient, it is more suitable for health consultation. "If you have a serious illness, you can't ask the doctor online. Although you can make an appointment to consult some doctors, the fees are very expensive. I see a lot of price for two minutes and three or three hundred yuan."
In this survey, 25.1% of respondents believe that online medical consultation is unreliable, 22.1% of respondents believe it is reliable, and 52.8% of respondents can't answer well. 51.8% of the respondents said that when they have a slight discomfort, they will go to the hospital to see a doctor even if they can get advice from doctors online.
