China's "Government Procurement Law" and "Tendering and Bidding Law" stipulate that potential bidders and suppliers shall not be restricted or excluded, and fair and fair bidding shall be conducted. However, in the actual bidding procurement, many units expressly stipulate that only imported products are purchased.
In addition, because many medical device purchases cost public finances, some hospitals do not consider cost-effectiveness and only purchase the most expensive imported products. At the same time, in recent years, the commercial bribery case in the field of medical equipment procurement has been high. According to industry insiders, the high rebate of imported products has become an open secret of the industry. Many multinational companies have freely traveled to the hospital leaders in the name of going abroad for study and participating in academic conferences. Gaining interest in the purchase price also squeezes the market space for domestic products.
